I’m happy launch this little corner of the internet, a space dedicated to something that really fascinates me: the incredible world of beekeeping and everything that is involved in making honey.
Why beeshoney.io?
Well, it combines the buzz of the hive (the bees!) with the sweet rewards (the honey!), both literally and figuratively. This website is born from my own journey into beekeeping, a path filled with amazing discoveries, fascinating insights, and yes, a few stumbles along the way!
Here, I plan to share everything I’ve learned, things I’m still figuring out, and interesting resources I come across related to the Practice and Science of Beekeeping: from choosing your first hive and understanding bee behaviour, to seasonal management, swarm prevention (or catching!), and ensuring the health of your colonies. We’ll explore the practicalities and the sheer wonder of working with these essential pollinators.
Think of beeshoney.io as a shared learning space. I’ll be documenting my experiences, the successes, the challenges, and the tips and tricks I pick up.
